Peiyan Zou is a London-based architectural designer, artist, and researcher who focuses on transforming the posthuman gaze into design methodologies and cultural medium.
His work explores the evolving identity of designers and artists in relation to emerging sensing technologies, notably LiDAR. He has mentored under and collaborated on several architectural and curatorial projects with Archigram co-founder Sir Peter Cook RA.
Navigating architecture, generative design, and curatorial practice, he develops tools, products, and installation works, and co-founded the design practice Wedge, where he serves as director. His projects span international exhibitions—including the London Design Festival, Venice Biennale, Material Matters and 3 Days of Design—positioning LiDAR as a poetic syntax for technological innovation and contemporary art design.
Peiyan Zou is the recipient of the 2024 RIBA Donaldson Medal and the Bartlett Medal, as well as multiple other awards including the Fitzroy Robinson Drawing Prize.
